The Cast Iron Group (CIG) Assistant Custodian assists the Head Custodian with the deep cleaning of The Cookery and The Rickhouse facilities in preparation for events and members. The majority of event preparation occurs on weekend mornings and the Assistant Custodian’s availability is essential.

The Cookery’s Kitchen

The Assistant Custodian assists the Head Custodian with the deep clean of The Cookery’s kitchen.

The Assistant Custodian will take ownership of ensuring The Cookery’s kitchen space stays clean to the standards/regulations of a shared use kitchen.

The Assistant Custodian will report directly to the Head Custodian for all needs for the kitchen. The Assistant Custodian will help monitor and inform the Head Custodian of any necessary maintenance in the kitchen. A proactive and vigilant approach is imperative to notice and fix issues in a timely manner.

The Cookery and Rickhouse Event Venues

The Assistant Custodian aids the Head Custodian with the deep cleaning of The Cookery and The Rickhouse event venues and assists the General Managers and Assistant Managers of those companies to maintain orderly and organized facilities.

Qualifications:

• Physical ability to lift and move tables, chairs and items weighing more than 50lbs.
• Attention to detail, recognizing maintenance and cleaning needs while following a checklist of items on a daily/weekly/quarterly basis.
• Self-motivated and efficient with the ability to work a fixed/flex schedule as needed.
• Good communication skills regarding project status, schedule needs and receiving direction.
• Ability to work outside on lawn/property maintenance; ability to climb ladders for cleaning and maintenance purposes.
• Reliable transportation is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week

• Every weekend
• Morning shift
